SSC MTS 2025 Notification Out
The SSC MTS & Havaldar exam is ideal for candidates who are matric pass and seeking a government job. For MTS Exam, the selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and for Havaldar post, the process includes CBT and Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test, and finally Document Verification (for both). The SSC MTS Exam is an annual exam conducting at national level and MTS stands for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) post in various Central Govt Ministries/Departments. This exam for two posts Multitasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar and it is ideal for candidates who passed school till 10th class and within the age limit of 18 to 27 years. The selection process involves a Computer Based Test (Paper 1), Physical Test (PET/PST for Havaldar pot), and Document Verification. SSC MTS and Havaldar Vacancy 2025
The SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2025 notification has been officially released. As per the notice, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced 1,075 vacancies for the Havaldar post in CBIC and CBN departments. However, the vacancy details for the Multitasking Staff (MTS) post are yet to be released and are currently under finalization. Candidates interested in these posts are advised to keep checking the official SSC website for updates regarding the MTS vacancies.
The SSC MTS 2025 application form is available on the official SSC website. Candidates must complete the registration process online, providing accurate personal, academic, and contact details. Application fees can be paid through online modes or challan. Ensure all required documents, such as photographs and signatures, are uploaded correctly. The registration for SSC MTS 2025 will continue till 24th July 2025.

SSC MTS 2025 Application fee
The fee can be paid online only using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay).
The application fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates.
No fee is required for women candidates, SC/ST candidates, PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities), and Ex-servicemen .
The last date to pay the fee online is 25th July 2025, till 11:00 PM.
SSC MTS 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The SSC MTS Eligibility criteria includes age limit, educational qualification, and nationality. For Havaldar post, Physical Test will also be conducted.
Nationality
An Indian citizen, or
A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, or East African countries, intending to settle permanently.
Educational Qualification (As on 1/8/2025)
Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or its equivalent from a recognized board or institution by the closing date of application.
Age Limit (As on 1/8/2025)
18-25 years: MTS and Havaldar in CBN
18-27 years: Havaldar in CBIC
Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government rules for reserved categories:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PwD: 10 years (general), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
SSC MTS 2025 Selection Process
There are two stages for the multitasking staff post and 3 stages for Havaldar post. The exam will be conducted online in a computer based manner. Physical Test will only be conducted for the Havaldar post only. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the computer based test.

Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test for Havaldar posts, including tasks like walking and cycling.

SSC MTS 2025 Exam Pattern
The total marks for the SSC MTS Paper-I exam are 270, as per the latest pattern.
The exam will be objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).
Language options:
Session I and the General Awareness section of Session II will be available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.
Negative marking:
Session I: No negative marking.
Session II: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Extra time for special candidates:
Visually handicapped and cerebral palsy candidates will get 45 minutes per session.

The SSC MTS Salary 2025 falls under Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200–20200) with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1800, which corresponds to Level-1 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
