AFCAT 2 2024 Application Form
The Indian Air Force will soon open the AFCAT 2 online application process. Candidates can access the form on careerindianairforce.cdac.in or afcat.cdac.in. The direct link to apply online for AFCAT 2 exam will be activated in the month of June 2024. Once the application starts, we will give you the link to use it.
Steps To Apply For AFCAT 2 2024
- Visit the official website or click on the link provided.
- On the new page that appears, click on “New User Register” if you are a first-time user.
- Enter your mobile number and email address to register.
- An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your mobile number and email. Fill in the OTP and click on “Submit.”
- You will receive your Login ID and Password via SMS and email.
The second step is the login process that need the following steps to be followed:
- Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
- Select the post you are applying for.
- Fill in the required details, including educational qualifications.
- Pay the examination fee online using a Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
- Upload all the required certificates.
- Submit the application.
- Print out the acknowledgment for records.
AFCAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must fulfil the following two criteria to be eligible for the AFCAT 2 2024 Exam:
(a) Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act, 1955.
(b) Age: Given below is the age criteria for the multiple posts:
- Flying Branch. 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2025 i.e. born between 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2005(both dates inclusive). The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1998 to 01 July 2004 (both dates inclusive).
- Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches. 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2025 i.e. born between 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive).
c) Educational Qualifications:

AFCAT 2024 Selection Process
After clearing AFCAT 2 2024, the Indian Air Force will issue call letters to successful candidates for the second stage of selection, known as AFSB Testing.
AFSB Stage 1 Testing
It consists of two stages:
- Officer Intelligence Rating Test.
- Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT).
Stage 1 is a screening test, and candidates failing to pass it will be rejected and not called for Stage 2.
AFSB Stage 2 Testing
- Psychological Tests: Written tests conducted by professional psychologists.
- Group Tests: Activities to assess candidates mentally and physically.
- AFSB Interview: Personal interviews with interviewing officers.
- Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test: Mandatory for Flying Branch applicants.
Medical Test
Candidates who are recommended after the AFSB Testing will undergo a medical examination. The Indian Air Force conducts this medical examination at two specific centers: the Institute of Aviation Medicine in Bengaluru and the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME).
Following the medical examination, a final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s scores in the written exam and AFSB interviews. All shortlisted candidates will receive joining letters for the respective training academies they applied to.

AFCAT 2024 Syllabus
Understanding the AFCAT Syllabus topics will help candidates prepare effectively for the AFCAT exam.
- The English section includes around 20 questions of moderate to difficult level. It covers topics like comprehension, cloze test, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, and error spotting.
- The General Knowledge section includes questions on Indian History, Polity, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Current Affairs. The difficulty level ranges from easy to moderate.
- The Reasoning section covers questions on series, Venn diagrams, syllogism, blood relations, non-verbal and verbal reasoning, and military aptitude.
