Steps to Check AFCAT Result 2023

Step by step process is given below to check the AFCAT 1 2023 result. Follow these steps:
  • Firstly, go to the official website of the Indian Air Force i.e. afcat.cdac.in.
  • On the Home Page, you will see the AFCAT Result 2023 in the What’s New section.
  • Click on that link, and then you will be asked to fill in your email id and password.
  • Also enter the captcha asked carefully.
  • After you have successfully logged in, your result will open.
  • Download your result and take a printout for future reference.

AFCAT Cut Off 2023

AFCAT Written Exam was conducted on 24th, 25th and 26th February 2023. Now the students can check their results so that they can prepare for AFSB Interview. Aspirants, AFCAT Written Examination result has been declared. The cut off marks for AFCAT are given below.

What After AFCAT 1 2023 Result?

Candidate have to first clear the cut off declared by the IAF for AFCAT Written Exam 2023. Once, they clear the written examination, they are qualified to appear for Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB) Interview round. There are four AFSB centers i.e.  Dehradun (1 AFSB), Mysuru (2 AFSB), Gandhinagar (3 AFSB), and Varanasi (4 AFSB). Candidates who have applied for the flying branch can opt for only Dehradun, Mysore, and Varanasi.

Qualified candidates will be called for AFSB Interview. They have to download the AFSB Call Letter from the official site and check their date and venue for the Interview.

Testing of AFSB Would Consist of Three Stages:

(a)Stage-1: This test is a screening test and only qualified candidates would go for further rounds. Qualified candidates will require to go for document check to ascertain their eligibility for the branch they have applied for. Those who failed to meet the necessary requirements would be sent back on the first day itself.
(b)Stage-2: Psychological test will be conducted on day one and the group and interview would start after the document check for the next five days.
(c)For Flying Branch: Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test.

AFSB (Air Force Selection Board)

AFSB is the second phase of the exam. Candidates who clear the written exam will receive the call letters for AFSB Interview round. Selected Candidates will be called at one of the Air Force Selection Board. This phase is 5 day process in which a candidates has to perform various kinds of intellectual and mental tasks. Last day will be the Interview round.  Candidate will be evaluated on the basis of his performance in all the tasks combined. Candidates who have applied for NCC Special Entry and Meteorology Branch will be directly called for AFSB testing at one of the AFSB  centers.

Physical Fitness:

While reporting to the SSB, candidates are advised to be physically fit and healthy in order to undergo various tests at AFSB. Candidates should aim to achieve an ability to run 01 miles (1.6 km) in 10 minutes, 10 push-ups and 3 chin ups.

AFCAT Result 2023 Final Merit List

Once the AFSB Interviews are over for all the candidates at the AFSB centers, IAF will prepare the final merit list of students who will be inducted in the Indian Air Force as Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches for courses commencing in Jan 2024. IAF will decide the separate minimum cut off for each online test and the AFSB Interview. Candidates needs to clear both cut off individually in order to be in the final merit list.
AFCAT 2023 Training
  • Training is scheduled to commence in the first week of Jan 2024 for all courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad).
  • The approximate duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.
  • PAN Card, Aadhaar card and account in SBI/ Nationalised Bank is mandatory at the time of joining Air Force Academy (AFA). Aadhar Card is mandatory for Registration.
