NEET UG Tie Breaking Policy 2023
According to the most recent information, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun accepting registrations for the undergraduate National Eligibility Completion Entrance Exam (NEET UG). The cost of the exam has gone up, and there are fewer exam centres now. These are just two of the adjustments made by the authorities. In addition, the tie-breaking rule has undergone some significant adjustments. The age and NEET UG application numbers were previously tiebreakers, but the agency has now deleted them.

The official website, neet.nta.nic.in, has in the meantime opened the NEET UG 2023 registration link. The informational pamphlet, which includes information on the application procedure, qualifications, and exam syllabus, has also been uploaded.
Changes in NEET UG Tie Breaking Policy 2023
On May 7, 2023, the forthcoming NEET UG 2023 test will take place. The following techniques will be used by the authorities to break a tie if two candidates receive the identical NEET marks or percentile scores:
- The candidate who scored higher on the test in biology (botany and zoology), then the candidate who scored higher on the test in chemistry, then the candidate who scored higher on the test in physics, then the candidate who scored lower on the test overall in the percentage of attempted incorrect answers to attempted correct answers.
- The candidate who attempted fewer incorrect answers and more correct ones in the test’s Biology (Botany and Zoology) section came in second, followed by the candidate who attempted fewer incorrect answers and more correct ones in the test’s Chemistry section, and finally the candidate who attempted fewer incorrect answers and more correct ones in the test’s Physics section.
