RRB Section Controller 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Section Controller Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

Stage 2: Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

The CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) will be available in English and Hindi only.

  • To qualify, candidates must score a minimum T-score of 42 in each test battery. This rule applies to all categories (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Ex-SM), with no relaxation in the qualifying score.
  • Candidates must clear every test battery of the CBAT to be considered for the Section Controller post.
  • There is no negative marking in the CBAT.
  • The final merit list will include only those who qualify in the CBAT, with marks calculated as:
    • 70% weightage – CBT score

    • 30% weightage – CBAT score

Stage 3: Document Verification

Candidates who successfully clear all stages of the RRB Section Controller Recruitment will be shortlisted for Document Verification (DV), the final stage of the selection process.
