RRB Section Controller 2025 Selection Process

The RRB Section Controller recruitment process is carried out in multiple stages to ensure the selection of the most suitable candidates. The selection process includes the following phases:

Stage 1: RRB Section Controller CBT Exam Pattern 2025

The RRB Section Controller exam consists of 100 questions and is a computer-based test, conducted online only. The total duration is 120 minutes. Also, the format of the question answer is MCQ-based.

Stage 2: Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

The CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) will be available in English and Hindi only.

• To qualify, candidates must score a minimum T-score of 42 marks in each test battery. This rule applies to all categories (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Ex-SM), with no relaxation in the qualifying score.
• Candidates must clear every test battery of the CBAT to be considered for the Section Controller post.
• There is no negative marking in the CBAT.
• The final merit list will include only those who qualify in the CBAT, with marks calculated as:
  

  • 70% weightage – CBT score

  • 30% weightage – CBAT score

Stage 3: Document Verification

Candidates who successfully clear all stages of the RRB Section Controller Recruitment will be shortlisted for Document Verification (DV), the final stage of the selection process.
