The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) exam pattern for 2024 consists of three stages: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and an Interview.
Preliminary Exam:
Objective in nature.
Consists of two papers (Paper I & Paper II), each worth 200 marks.
Total marks: 400.
Duration: 2 hours per paper.
Mains Exam:
Descriptive in nature.
Consists of a total of 9 papers:
English (Qualifying) – 300 marks.
7 Papers of General Studies – 250 marks each, totaling 1750 marks.
Interview:
Candidates who qualify for the Mains will be called for an interview, which carries 250 marks.
