The State Selection Board (SSB) of Odisha has announced the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in Political Science, among other subjects, for non-government-aided higher secondary schools. The total number of vacancies for PGT in Political Science is 144 out of 1061 positions. To be eligible, candidates must possess a Master's degree in the relevant field or an integrated six-year postgraduate Master's course from a regional college of education recognized by NCERT, with at least 50% marks, although a B.Ed. degree is not a requirement for Political Science.

The age limit for candidates is 21 to 38 years as of January 1, 2024. The selection process includes a written test worth 150 marks and a career assessment worth 50 marks. Successful candidates will be offered a salary on the pay matrix level 10, ranging from Rs. 44900 to Rs. 142400. The application fees for the recruitment are Rs. 500 for the unreserved and SEBC categories and Rs. 200 for SC/ST/PwD categories.
