About the exam

The West Bengal Primary Teacher Eligibility Test is the examination through which the West Bengal Board of Primary Education recruits the candidates for teaching the primary school students from classes first to eighth.

Any updates and announcements regarding the vacancies for selection or appointment of Primary teachers under the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE), by direct recruitment will be released on the official website of the organization, www.wbbpe.org.

5. Socialization processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, Peers)
6. Concepts of child-centred and progressive education
7. Critical perspective of the construct of Intelligence
8. Multi-Dimensional Intelligence
9. Language & Thought
10. Gender as a social construct; gender roles, gender-bias and educational practice
11. Individual differences among learners, understanding differences based on diversity of language, caste, gender, community, religion, etc.
12. The distinction between Assessment for learning and assessment of learning; School-Based Assessment, Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation: perspective and practice
13. Formulating appropriate questions for assessing readiness levels of learners; for enhancing learning and critical thinking in the classroom and for assessing learner achievement.

Selection process

The results of the WB Primary TET are declared by the last week of October, which is made available online in the official website of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. The candidates can check their results online. The candidates who had successfully made it through the examination, securing marks more than the minimum marks for qualification is given the eligibility certificate through the authority. These eligible candidates will be recruited as primary teachers in the schools across the state of West Bengal.


About the test series/mock test

WB Primary TET Coaching Classes at Adda 247 start from June 9, 2020. The duration of the class is from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. With a limited seat for 500 students, the validity of the package will be for 14 months with an additional validity of 2 months, which will be valid during the promo period only. The classes will be taken in English and Bengali, and the study material will be in Bengali. The students can make the most of the course by developing a clear idea on all the topics covered with the help of our expert faculty.
