ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং হল কোনও প্রডাক্টের বিজ্ঞাপন বিভিন্ন ডিজিটাল টেকনোলজি যেমন ইন্টারনেট, মোবাইল ডিভাইস, সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া, সার্চ ইঞ্জিন এবং আরও বিভিন্ন ডিজিটাল চ্যানেলে প্রচার করা।
 

ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং এর নানা ধরনের স্ট্র্যাটেজি হয়, যার সাহায্যে নির্দিষ্ট কাস্টোমারের কাছে পৌঁছনো যায়। ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং এই মুহূর্তে যেকোনও বিজনেসের গ্রোথ এর জন্য অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়। আমরা নিজেরাই দেখতে পাই যে গুগুলে কোনও জিনিস সার্চ করলে, কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই বিভিন্ন সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া যেমন ফেসবুক ইন্সটাগ্রাম ইউটিউব ইত্যাদিতে সেই ধরনের প্রডাক্টের বিভিন্ন বিজ্ঞাপন আসতে থাকে। এটাই ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং এর মাধ্যমে সম্ভব হয়। 

এছাড়া ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং এর মাধ্যমে খুব সহজেই কোনও বিজ্ঞাপন কতজন কাস্টমারের কাছে পৌঁছল তা বোঝা যায়, অর্থাৎ ROI (return of investment.
ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং এর আরও বেশ কিছু বিষয় থাকে। যেমন সার্চ ইঞ্জিন অপটিমাইজেশন, পে পার ক্লিক, ইমেল মার্কেটিং, sms মার্কেটিং, ভিডিও মার্কেটিং এরকম বিভিন্ন বিষয় থাকে।

২০১৫ সালে ভারতে ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং ইন্ডাস্ট্রির ভ্যালু ছিল ৪৭০০ কোটি টাকা যা ২০২০ সালে বেড়ে দাঁড়ায় ২০,০০০ কোটি টাকা এবং প্রজেকশন করা হচ্ছে ২০২৪ সালে তা বেড়ে ৫৪০০০ কোটি টাকা হয়ে যাবে। যেহেতু প্রতিনিয়ত সারা পৃথিবী আরও বেশিভাবে ডিজিটাল মাধ্যমে নির্ভরশীল হচ্ছে, তাই কেরিয়ার হিসেবে অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ চয়েজ ডিজিটাল মার্কেটিং। সবথেকে বড় সুবিধে হল অধিকাংশ কম্পানিতেই ওয়ার্ক ফ্রম হোম নেওয়া হয়। ফলে বাড়ি বসেই আয় করা সম্ভব এই টেকনোলজি জানলে। এছাড়াও যাদের নিজস্ব ব্যবসা রয়েছে, তারা কোনও কম্পানির সাহায্য ছাড়াই, নিজেরাই নিজেদের ব্যবসা বৃদ্ধি করতে পারে।
