    • CTET Exam Date: 08 February 2026 (Sunday)
      Paper II: 09:30 AM – 12:00 Noon
      Paper I: 02:30 PM – 05:00 PM

     

    CTET 2026 – Eligibility (Age + Educational Qualification)
    Age Qualification

    • No minimum or maximum age limit is prescribed for CTET.
    • Candidates simply need to meet the required educational qualification to apply.
    • (Since CTET requires D.El.Ed/B.Ed or final-year status, applicants are typically 17+ years.)

     

    Educational Qualification for CTET 2026

    Candidates must satisfy the minimum qualifications laid down by NCTE for either Paper I (Classes I–V) or Paper II (Classes VI–VIII).
    Both qualifications are given below:

     

    Paper I (Primary Stage – Classes I to V)
    Candidates must have any one of the following:

    • 12th Pass (50%) + 2-year D.El.Ed
    • 12th Pass (45%) + 2-year D.El.Ed (NCTE approved)
    • 12th Pass (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed
    • 12th Pass (50%) + 2-year D.Ed (Special Education)
    • Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed

     

    Paper II (Elementary Stage – Classes VI to VIII)
    Candidates must have any one of the following:

    • Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed
    • Graduation (50%) + 1-year B.Ed
    • Graduation (45%) + 1-year B.Ed (NCTE approved)
    • 12th Pass (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed
    • 12th Pass (50%) + 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed / B.A.B.Ed / B.Sc.B.Ed
    • Graduation (50%) + 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)

     

    Reservation Relaxation

    • SC / ST / OBC / PwD candidates: 5% relaxation in minimum educational qualification.
