- The 31st edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) is currently taking place from October 23 to 29 at the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam.

Similipal Tiger Reserve |
Context:
- Ahead of the translocation of two female tigers from Maharashtra, the Forest department has readied a soft-release enclosure in Similipal where the big cats will be kept under observation before being let out to the reserve.

- The state government has decided to bring two tigers from Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) in Maharashtra to supplement the big cat population in Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR).
