SSC CGL 2025 Exam consists of Tier 1 and Tier 2 stages, and the Tier 1 exam will be held online at 260 centres across 129 cities nationwide, accommodating over 28 lakh applicants for 14,582 Group B and C vacancies. It is mandatory to carry the CGL Hall Ticket to the exam centre in order to gain entry inside the examination hall. Also, important details such as exam centre location, shift time, and reporting time are given on the admit card. Important note: As of 11th September 2025, SSC has only released the admit card of candidates whose exam is on 12th and 13th September 2025 and for the rest of the candidates it is going to available 2-3 days before their allotted exam date.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is held online as a Computer-Based Test. It is only qualifying in nature, meaning marks will not be counted for final merit. Important Instructions for Candidates Appearing for the Exam
There are some important instructions mentioned on the admit card that candidates should be aware of. Check the points that we have mentioned below and ensure that you follow all of them.
Admit Card & ID Proof: Carry a printed copy of your SSC CGL Tier 1 admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.) and a passport-sized photograph.
Reporting Time: Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time mentioned on your admit card. Latecomers will not be allowed inside.
Prohibited Items: Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, and books/notebooks are strictly banned inside the examination hall.
Biometric Verification: Your biometric data (photograph, thumb impression, etc.) may be captured at the centre, so cooperate with the staff.
Answer Carefully: Since there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer, avoid random guessing.
