UPSC Mains GS Paper 1 consists of static (Indian Constitution and static parts of other topics) and dynamic (governance, international relations) portions of the syllabus. We will here discuss strategies to fetch maximum marks in the GS Paper 2 in the coming UPSC Mains 2021 examination.

UPSC CSE Mains 2021 Exam- Indian Constitution

  • In the UPSC Mains exam, there will be one or two questions directly from the Indian Constitution. the other questions from this segment may have only the current aspect or both current and static aspect.
  • Irrespective of the nature of the questions you must try to incorporate both the static and current aspects in your UPSC Mains answers for GS Paper 2.

UPSC CSE Mains 2021 Exam- Governance and Administration

  • This portion of the subject focuses on more dynamic aspects of the syllabus. Here, aspirants must mention various government schemes, reports and committee recommendations in their answers.
  • If possible, aspirants should also include associated constitutional provisions in theirs answers (but don’t overdo it).

  • This section also has two aspects-
  1. Various UN bodies and Other international organizations, conventions and Treaties.
  2. Recent developments in the bilateral. Multilateral relations along with other current happenings.
  • Aspirants must include both the aspects in their answers. Like other sections, in this section as well, you should focus more on the demand of the question while inculcating the other aspects of the question.
