It has been decided by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to postpone the Preliminary exam which was scheduled to be held on 27 June due to the spike in COVID-19 cases across the country.
Now, the commission has announced that the UPSC CSE prelims examination will be held on 10 October, 2021.

As per the statement issued by the commission “Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the civil services (preliminary) examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June, 2021. Now, this examination will be held on 10th October, 2021.”
As we know that UPSC conducts civil services exam every year in three stages namely preliminary, main, and interview to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.
Meanwhile, UPSC has deferred all recruitment examinations and notifications. This year UPSC CSE has notified around 712 vacancies including 22 vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.
