The timetable for Civil Services Main Examination 2020 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its official website at upsc.gov.in.
From 8 January, the UPSC Main Examination will begin and will conclude on 17 January, 2021. The exam will be held for five days.
On 8 January, 2021 (first day) the exam will be held in one shift and for the rest of the days in two shifts. The first shift of the exam will be from 9 am to 12 Noon and the second shift from 2 PM to 5 PM.
Paper-1 Essay is on 8 January in the first shift.
Paper-2 that is General Studies I, II, III and IV will be held on 9 and 10 January, 2021 in two shifts.
Paper A and Paper B of Indian Language and English will be held on 16 January, 2021 respectively. On 17 January, 2021, Optional Paper I and II will be held in two shifts respectively.

The detailed application from (DAF) for candidates who re eligible to appear for civil services main examination has The DAF (CSM) will be available on the website of the commission until November 11, 2020, until 6 pm.also been released by the UPSC.

The UPSC CSE Main exam consists of 9 papers in which two are of qualifying papers and seven are merit-based papers. Duration of each paper will be of three hours. Those candidates are allowed to appear for the UPSC Mains Examination who secure at least the declared cut off in general Studies I and 33% in general Studies II in Prelims Examination. All papers consist of descriptive answer type questions. Except for the Language paper A and B, all the papers can be answered in English or any of the languages as listed in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution of India.
