UKPSC PCS Pre exam analysis
UKPSC Prelims 2022 was conducted today. The UKPSC Prelims examination was conducted in two shifts. In the first shift, the UKPSC Prelims’ first paper (GS 1) was conducted between 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. In the second shift, the second Paper (General Aptitude) of UKPSC Prelims’ first paper 2022 will be conducted today between 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The first reaction from the Aspirants who appeared in the UKPSC Prelims’ first paper shows that GS Paper 1 was of moderate nature and difficulty wise almost similar to last year.
Let’s talk about the paper section-wise:
UKPSC PCS Pre exam analysis 2022 subject wise: Indian Polity
UKPSC Upper PCS Polity Section: The questions from this section were easy to crack with basic knowledge of Indian Polity & Constitution. However, the paper also consisted of some moderate but doable questions like the questions on Indian Judiciary, federal structure, NDC, Zonal council, etc.
UKPSC upper PCS 2022 analysis subject wise: Current Affairs
UKPSC Upper PCS CA Section: The questions from this section were moderate to difficult. Following the trend, UKPSC has continued asking factual and traditional questions from this section. The questions could be solved with factual knowledge. Most of the questions were from the last 6 months’ current affairs. Majority of questions were from sports section.
Uttarakhand PCS upper exam analysis 2022 subject wise: History, Art & Culture
UKPSC Upper PCS History, Art & Culture: Overall, the questions from this section were easy to moderate. If you are good with the conventional areas, you would have marked the right answer to most of the questions. Questions on classical dance forms, ancient sculptures, books and dynasties were quite doable. Questions from Indian National Movement were of moderate nature. Some question were exceptionally difficult like one related to Gold-Silver coins of Shaka Kshatrap, etc.
UKPSC exam analysis subject wise: Science & Technology
UKPSC Upper PCS prelims 2022 Science & Technology Section: The questions from this section were difficult. This year also witnessed questions apart from traditional questions . Although UKPSC has focused on the general science portion including physics, chemistry and biology—a peculiar pattern found this time. Aspirants are not expected to read about every technological advancement and that too in this much depth. Attempting these questions needed a good base. Question on Nor & End Gate were little difficult.
UKPSC Upper PCS Exam Analysis 2022 Subject Wise: Economy
UKPSC Prelims 2021 Economy Section: The questions from this section were moderate to difficult. We can say this section was quite like Polity. If you are good with the concepts, these two sections were scoring. At least two questions were doubtable. A large number of questions were asked from this section.
UKPSC Upper PCS Exam Analysis 2022 Subject Wise: Uttarakhand Specific
UKPSC Upper PCS prelims 2022 Section: The highest number of questions were asked from this section. This year’s paper also saw all types of questions with easy to moderate difficulty level. From Uttarakhand’s Art, Culture, Polity, Geography, CA, etc.
UKPSC Upper PCS Exam Analysis 2022 Subject Wise: Geography
UKPSC given this section more importance. Questions from this section are asked in ample amount with easy to moderate difficulty level. This section covered important geographical sites, national parks, important environmental institutes, etc.

A large number of questions were asked from this section with difficulty level of easy to moderate.
UKPSC Upper PCS Exam Analysis 2022: CSAT
This paper was made qualifying in nature this year, So, marks obtained in this paper is not much significance as far as you have cleared the minimum qualifying marks. If we talk about the difficulty level of questions, the questions were of easy to moderate nature and scoring qualifying marks is very much doable. The questions of quantitative aptitude, including Data Interpretation, was of easy nature. Also, the questions from reasoning were of easy level, and anyone who have certain degree of understanding of the topic would have solved many of the questions. The questions of English and Hindi too were of easy to moderate nature. Overall, qualifying this paper would not be much of an issue.
UKPSC Upper PCS Exam Analysis 2022 Subject Wise: Conclusion
The question paper was of easy to moderate level. There were many new questions, however, it does not mean the aspirants should start reading everything. For example: Just because UKPSC has asked two sports related questions, you should not start preparing 1-year sports news.
Do practice papers. This year, similar to previous years, contain some questions which was somewhere connected with the previous year.
