Number of hours from 8 : 18 am to 8 : 18 pm = 12 h.
Number of hours from 8 : 18 pm to 10 : 18 pm = 2 h
Minutes from 10 : 18 pm to 10 : 28 pm = 10 min
∴ Total time = (12 + 2) h + 10 min = 14 h 10 min
S2. Ans.(d)
Sol. Quantity of orange juice = 14 L 280 mL
Quantity of carrot juice = 18 L 830 mL
Now, total quantity of mixture formed by orange and carrot juice
= (14 + 18) L + (280 + 830) mL = 32 L + 1110 {∵ 1000 mL = 1 L}
= 32 L 1110 mL or 33 L 110 mL
Now, capacity of water bottles = 15 × (1 L + 500 mL) = 22 L 500 mL
∴ Quantity of juice left = Quantity of juice – Capacity of bottles
= 33 L 110 mL – 22 L 500 mL
= (32 – 22) L + (1110 – 500) mL = 10 L 610 mL
