Eligibility Criteria For Teaching Exams:
- PRT (Primary Teacher): Aspirants who want to become a teacher for primary classes i.e. 1st to 5th class, appears for PRT post, candidate should complete 12th and after that, student will opt JBT/BTC/B.EL.Ed/D.ED etc. Then you have to qualify CTET/STET of Paper I.
- TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): Only having graduation degree is not enough for applying TGT posts. For TGT (6th to 8th class)posts you have to do B.Ed. after graduation and then qualify CTET/STET of Paper II. After that, you will be eligible for TGT posts.
- PGT (Post Graduate Teacher): ‘PGT ‘i.e. Post Graduate Teacher (9th to 12th class) as the name says for only Post Graduate (Master Degree) holder is eligible for PGT Posts. But you have to do B.Ed. for completing eligibility criteria for PGT posts.
Special Note: B.tech( CS) students are eligible for PGT (CS) or PGT(IT) posts. And they don’t need to qualify for the CTET Exam. But, if you are from any other Engineering Stream then you have to do any computer application based certificate/diploma/degree course.
