The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2021 has been cancelled after the question paper was leaked. The UPTET exam 2021 was scheduled to hold today, 28th November 2021 at 10 am. The said question paper went viral on WhatsApp groups just before the commencement of the UPTET Paper-I exam in Mathura, Bulanshahr, and Ghaziabad.
The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) Director, Sarvendra Vikram Singh announced the cancellation of the exam due to the paper leak. He said the exam will be re-schedule a month later. The candidates will be informed of the same through an official notice to be released later. The Director of UPBEB also said that the candidates do not have to pay any fees again.
According to media reports, STF has conducted across the state after the paper got leaked. Many people from Prayagraj, Ghaziabad and Meerut has been detained by the STF. The investigation will follow to nab the main culprits behind the paper leak.
The UPTET Exam 2021 was scheduled to be held in two shifts. The news of the paper leak got circulated at the start of the UPTET Paper-I exam (for primary teacher) scheduled in shift 1 at 10:00 am. UPTET Paper-II exam (upper primary teacher) was scheduled in Shift 2 at 2:30 pm, which has also been cancelled.
