(b) Q is faster
(c) Both P and Q are at same speed
(d) Can’t predict

Solutions

S1. Ans.(b)

S2. Ans.(c)

S3. Ans.(a)

S4. Ans.(b)
Sol. Total distance covered = 1212 – 1052 = 160 km
Total time taken = 4 hrs
Average speed = (Distance covered)/(Time taken)
=160/4=40 km/hr

S5. Ans.(c)
Sol. Time taken = 15 min = 15 × 60 s
Speed = 2 m/s
Distance = Speed × Time
= 15 × 2 × 60 = 1800 m
So, distance between Rudra’s school and his house is 1.8 km.

S6. Ans.(a)
Sol. Given, v = 40 km/hr
t=50 min⁡=  50/60  h
a = 2 km/h²
u = ?
We know that
v = u + at
40=u+2×5/6
⇒u=40-5/3=(120-5)/3
=115/3=38.34 km/h

S7. Ans.(a)
Sol. Given, distance’s = 10 m
Initial speed u = 0 m/s
Acceleration, a = g = 10 m/s²
Now,
Science Questions For CTET,DSSSB,KVS Exam: 6th september 2018_60.1

S8. Ans.(c)
Sol. Given, u = 5 m/s, v = 25 m/s, s = 100 m
Now,
v² = u² + 2as
⇒ (25)² = (5)² + 2 × a × 100
⇒ 625 – 25 = 200a
⇒600/200=a
∴ a = 3 m/s²

S9. Ans.(b)

S10. Ans.(a)
