Solutions

S1. Ans.(b)
Sol.  6T + 12C = 7800
6 × 750 + 12C = 7800
4500 + 12C = 7800
12C=3300
C=3300/12
Average, C = 275 Rs.
S2. Ans.(a)
Sol. A + B + C + D = 5 × 4 = 20 years
C = 8
A + B + D = 12 years
A + B + D + E = 6 × 4 = 24
12 + E = 24
E = 12 years
S3. Ans.(d)
Sol. Let there are n natural numbers
Average of n = 15
Sum of n = 15n …(i)
ATQ,
Average of n + 30 – 5 = 17.5
Sum of n = 17.5n –25 …(ii)
From (i) and (ii)
15n = 17.5n – 25
25 = 2.5n
n = 10
S4. Ans.(d)
Sol. Let the digit at unit’s place and ten’s place be x, y
y = 2x
ATQ,
x+y–2= (10x+y)1/6
6x + 6y – 12 = 10x + y
6x + 12x – 12 = 10x + 2x
6x = 12
x = 2
y = 2 × 2 = 4
Number is = 24
