(a) 12 cm
(b) √72 cm
(c) 13 cm
(d) None of these
Q8. If P, R, T are the area of a parallelogram, a rhombus and a triangle standing on the same base and between the same parallels, which of the following true.
(a) R < P < T
(b) P > R > T
(c) R = P = T

Solutions
Maths Questions for DSSSB Exam : 18th August 2018 (Solutions)_60.1
S2. Ans.(c)
Sol. Average demand in all year = 3435
Average production in all year = 3158
Required number = Average demand – Average production = 3435 – 3158 = 277

S3. Ans.(c)
Sol. In the year 1994 and 1997, there is more production than demand and the rest year there is more demand than production.
∴ Ratio = 4:2 = 2:1
Maths Questions for DSSSB Exam : 18th August 2018 (Solutions)_70.1
Maths Questions for DSSSB Exam : 18th August 2018 (Solutions)_80.1
S6. Ans.(c)
Sol. ∠AQB = 90° (in semi circle).
Now, In ∆XQB
∠QXB + ∠XBQ + ∠OQX = 180°
∠QXB = 180 – 90 – 24
= 66°
∠AXB = ∠QXB (Opposite angle)
Therefore ∠AXP = 66°

S7. Ans.(d)
Sol. There is No transverse tangent, when two circles touch each other externally.

S8. Ans.(d)
Sol. Parallelogram area = l × b
Rhombus area = l × b
Triangle area = 1/2 × l × b
Therefore, R = P = 2T
