Solutions
S1. Ans(d)
Sol. Difference in the number of products manufactured by the Company in the year 2009 and 2008
Difference = 52500 – 47500
                 = 5000

S2. Ans(a)
Sol. Required percentage = (25/35) X 100 = 71.43 %
S3. Ans (d)
Sol. Required percentage = [(42.5 – 37.5)/ (37.5)]X 100= 13.33 %
S4. Ans(c)
Sol. Required ratio = (45 – 42.5): (37.5 – 30) = 1: 3
S5. Ans(d)
Sol. average = (35000 + 37500 + 42500 + 45000 + 47500 + 52500)/6 = 43330 (approx).
S6. Ans.(d)
Sol. Distance = speed × time
When the train is running in opposite direction, speed will be added.
120 + 120 = (S₁ + S₂)4
240 = (S₁ + S₂)4
S₁ + S₂ = 60 …(i)
When the train is running in same direction, speed will be subtracted.
120 + 120 = (S₁ – S₂) × 12
240 = S₁ – S₂ × 12
S₁ – S₂ = 20 …(ii)
From (i) & (ii)
2S₁ = 80
S₁ = 40 m/s
S₂ = 20 m/s
