SOLUTIONS

S1. Ans.(a)
Sol.Ratio of volume=(1/3 πr_1^2 h_1)/(1/3 πr_2^2 h_2 )=9/1×1/3=3∶1

S2. Ans. (d)
Sol.
Ratio of profit be
2 x 6 : 3 x 4 : 4 x 3 = 12 : 12: 12 = 1 : 1 : 1

Maths Questions for CTET,KVS Exam : 31 october 2018_40.1

S4. Ans. (a)
Sol.
Amount = Rs. (30000 + 4347) = Rs. 34347.
Let the time be n years.
Then, 30000 (1 + 7/100)n = 34347
(107/100)n = 34347/30000 = 11449/10000 = (107/100)2
So, the period is 2 years.

S5. Ans. (b)
Sol.
Number = 740 × 35/100 – 34 = 225
2/5 of the number = 90

S6. Ans.(d)
Sol.
2x+3y=87
3x –3y=48
5x = 135
x = 27

S7. Ans.(b)
Sol.
No.of revolutions=(Distance travelled)/Circumference
=(176×100)/2πr
=(176×100×7)/(2×22×20)
=140

S8. Ans.(b)
Sol.
2πrh = 264
π²h = 924
(πr^2 h)/2πrh=924/264
r/2=924/264
r = 7
D = 14
2×22/7×7×h=264
h=6
D : h = 14 : 6 = 7 : 3

S9. Ans.(b)
Sol.
Number which is divisible by 55, should be by 5, 11 also
For divisibility of 5. y should by 5 or 0,
For y= 0,
Divisibility by 11 ⇒ x + 8 = 7 + y
x + 8 = 7+ 0
x = -1 (Not possible)
For y= 5,
divisibility of 11 ⇒ x + 8 = 7 + y
x + 8 = 7 + 5
⬄ x + 8 = 7 + 5
x=12-8 =4
x = 4, y = 5

S10. Ans.(a)
Sol.
