Solutions

S1. Ans.(b)
Sol. O is a whole number but not a natural number.

S2. Ans.(d)
Sol. Make the denominators same in all the given fractions.
3/8=15/40,4/5=32/40,9/20=18/40,7/10=28/40
1/2=20/40 and 3/4=30/40
The only fraction between
20/40 and 30/40 is 28/40
∴ 7/10 is the required fraction.

S3. Ans.(c)
Sol. We have
33 1/2%=67/2%=67/(2×100)
= 0.335
4/15=0.2666…
And
0.35
Therefore, 0.35 is the greatest among the three given numbers.

S4. Ans.(c)
Sol. As 9 > 6 > 4 > 3 > 1 > 0,
The largest number is 964310.

S5. Ans.(c)
Sol. Let x be added in (-5)/8 to get 5/9
Then (-5)/8 + x = 5/9
⇒x=5/9-((-5)/8)=5/9+5/8
=(40+45)/72=85/72

Maths Questions for CTET,KVS Exam : 29th september 2018_50.1

S7. Ans.(a)
