SOLUTIONS

S1. Ans.(a)
Sol.
17/19<21/23<27/19<45/23
⇒ 0.89 < 0.91 < 1.42 < 1.95

S2. Ans.(b)
Sol.
CI=4096 [1+25/100]^2-4096
=4096 [1+1/4]^2-4096
=4096×5/4×5/4-4096
= 6400 – 4096
= Rs 2304

S3. Ans.(a)
Sol.
Let father’s age be x and son’s age be y.
(x-5)/(y-5)=7
x – 5 = 7y – 35
x – 7y = -30 …(i)
Also, x = 4y …(ii)
Solving (i) & (ii)
x = 40, y = 10

S4. Ans.(d)
Sol.
Let equal sides be ‘a’ m.

ATQ,
a + a +a + 30 = 150
3a = 120
a = 40
So, third side = a + 30 = 70 m

S5. Ans.(a)
Sol.
Length = Speed × Time
= 35 × 15
= 525m

Maths Questions for CTET,KVS Exam : 26 october 2018_40.1

Sol.
Cost of fencing = 2(30 + 40) × 20
= 2 × 70 × 20
= Rs 2800

S8. Ans.(d)
Sol.
Let Rs 1 coin be x and 50 paise coin be y
x + y = 80 …(i)
x + y/2 = 60 …(ii)
solving (i) & (ii)
x = 40 and y= 40
