SOLUTIONS

S1. Ans.(d)
Sol.
6 bags + 4 books = 1400 …(i)
10 bags + 6 books = 2200 …(ii)
On, (i) × 10 and (ii) × 6
60 Bags + 40 books = 14000 …(iii)
60 bags + 36 book = 13200…..(iv)
On subtracting,
4 books = 800
1 book = 200 Rs.
6 bags = 1400 – 4 × 200
6 bags = 600
1 bag = 100
Cost of 2 bags and 6 books
= 2 × 100 + 6 × 200
= 200 + 1200
= 1400 Rs.
