From Previous Year, KVS has changed the exam pattern & Syllabus of KVS PRT & PGT posts. KVS TGT, PRT & PGT Recruitment notification tentatively released in the month of August 2020. Here we are sharing the Detailed syllabus of Subject concerned for the post of PRT & PGT. We have already shared the exam pattern & syllabus of all the post i.e. PRT, TGT & PGT, we hope that you have gone through it.

KVS PRT Subject Concerned Syllabus

Core Language competency:

The candidate must have the knowledge about the basic concepts of Hindi & English Language Understanding Of English and hindi language to deal with students of elementary class.The ability to comprehend the text & express them with action, and Activities in the classroom, it will be measured at the time of interview & classroom teaching.

Hindi भाषा, संज्ञा, सर्वनाम एवं सर्वनाम, विशेषण, क्रिया, अव्यय, वचन, लिंग, उपसर्ग एवं प्रत्यय, वाक्य निर्माण, पर्यायवाची, विपरीपार्थक, अनेकार्थक, समानार्थी शब्द, विराम चिन्हों की पहचान एवं उपयोग,  मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, अलंकार, सन्धि, तत्सम, तद्भव, देशज एवं विदेशी शब्द,  समास, पद परिचय, अपठित गद्यांश, भाषा शिक्षण की विधियाँ
English Verb, Tenses, adjective, modal, Voice, Subject-Verb Agreement, Articles, Narrations, Prepositions, Punctuations, Comprehension, Fill in the Blanks. Adverb, Error Correction, Sentence Rearrangement, Unseen Passages, Vocabulary, Antonyms, Synonyms, Idioms & Phrases, Method of teaching at elementary level

Matter, concept of elements, molecule and atom. Basic structure of atom, Radioactivity, gases and liquids, classification of Hydrocarbons. Chemical and physical changes. Green house effect, photo synthesis

Motion: displacement, velocity; uniform and non-uniform motion along a straight line; acceleration, distance – time and velocity, idea of uniform circular motion. Force and motion, inertia, momentum, force and acceleration action and reaction forces. Elementary idea of conservation of momentum, conservation of energy, simple machine.

Maths Number System, estimation of numbers, Place value, use of symbols, word problems on number operations involving large numbers, conversions of units of length & mass, Multiples and factors, Even/odd and prime/composite numbers, prime factorization, HCF and LCM, Rationale numbers. Whole numbers, Seeing patterns:- identifying and formulating, rules, Integers, Properties of integers, Fractions , Ratio and Proportion, percentages, profit & loss, work & time velocity & distance simple and compound interest, binomials, polynomials, basic of algebra, linear equation, quadratic equation & word related problems

Basic geometrical ideas: Line, line segment, ray. Open and closed figures. Angle – Vertex, arm, interior and exterior, Triangle- vertices, sides, angles, interior, Quadrilateral- Sides, vertices, angles, Circle- Center, radius, diameter, arc, Concept of perimeter Data handling Pictograph- scaling in pictographs and its interpretation.

General understanding of perimeter using regular shapes. Shapes of different kinds with the same perimeter. Area of various regular-geometric shapes. Measuring areas of different shapes with the help of graph.

Concept of volume, measurement of volume using a basic unit, volume of a cube, cuboids and cylinder, Volume and capacity (measurement of capacity). Surface area of a cube, cuboids and cylinder.

EVS Primary Institutions of democracy, Local bodies, State bodies, National bodies, citizen’s rights in democracy, Role of panchayat and Nagarpalikas in education, health and other social services. Population growth in India: distribution, density & growth, sex ratio, rural urban composition, education, Human development indicators.

Common Diseases, Deficiency diseases & Communicable diseases and their prevention. First Aid and Our Health Services at village and District Level, Natural Calamities – their causes impact and steps to reduce the effect, Transport and Communication – their impact, Natural Resources Air, Water, Soil and Land (Minerals, metals, non-metals),

Resources and Development Natural resources:- forest and minerals, Water resources, rivers, irrigation system and crop pattern.

Map of India: – Location of identification, understanding of globe with special reference to Latitude, Longitude & time, Five Years plans, National freedom movement, cultural renaissances, social reformers of India.

Important Point To Be Note:

  • Interview round will be of 60 Marks.
  • KVS final cut off in two stages – written test and final cut off [including both written & Interview Marks]
  • The weightage of Written Test and Interview will be 85:15.

Basic Tips To Crack KVS PRT Exam:

1. Time management is the key:

There might be no negative marking in the KVS exams, but the questions must be attempted within the stipulated time. Candidates must manage their time according to their convenience and should not spend more than 2-3 minutes on one question. Attempt the easier questions first and then solve the difficult ones.

2.Practice mock tests:

Mock tests are the best way to practice and improvise your performance. Take one mock test daily and then work on the topics that you are having difficulty with. Mock tests will help you in scoring good marks in the KVS exam.

3.Go through the previous year papers:

Previous year papers give you an idea of the type of questions that can be asked in the paper. Download previous year papers and solve the questions to check where you stand. It will also help you to understand the difficulty level of this exam so that you can strategize your preparations accordingly.
