Healthy Habits To Improve The Quality Of Your Life

Do you remember the time when our parents, teachers, and elders would tell us repeatedly about the benefits of eating healthy and exercising daily? They would also add a huge list of adverse effects of an unhealthy lifestyle. With time and the increasing pressure of life, we tend to start neglecting these basic advises and practices that can significantly help us stay healthy and fit. Sometimes our life choices and lifestyle lead us to unhealthy practices and eventually make us ill.

So, here is a reminder of the basic healthy habits to improve the quality of your life.

It is very essential to remember that balance is the foundation of life. Without balance, your life will always be titled to one extreme or to another. Extreme of anything is not good for your physical, mental and emotional health. If you indulge in too many unhealthy practices like long hours of computer screens, social media, junk food, abusive substances like alcohol and tobacco will eventually make you sick. However, if you always suppress your desire for tasty food or drinks, curb your social media usage to zero and so on then after a while you will start feeling an emotional burn which my friend will not be good for your emotional health.

Thus, try to create a healthy balance in your life.

Create a routine and stick to it. Go to sleep early and wake up early. Try to maintain a 7-8 hour sleep routine daily. This will keep fatigues and sleep disorders at bay However, once in a while you can relax and change your routine.

Exercise or yoga daily for at least 30 mins. Try meditation for 10 mins daily. This will take care of your body and mind holistically.

Eat Healthy green, leafy vegetables and maintain your protein, vitamins, fibers, curbs, etc. on a daily basis. However, do have a cheat day when you will savor your taste buds with pizza, burger, or other junk food once in a while.

Set a routine for your social media use. Say you will use social media for not more than 2 hrs. in a day outside work. However, you might use indulge in a reel binge once a week maybe.

The point is to strike a balance in your life to create an equilibrium. This equilibrium will eventually lead you to a happy, content and healthy lifestyle which will help live a thriving life.
