DSSSB Eligibility Criteria 2021: DSSSB  has released a notification regarding the recruitment of 12719 teaching vacancies. The application process had started on 25th April & it will be concluded on 24th June.  All the candidates have started preparing for the DSSSB TGT-PGT recruitment exam. total of 7236 vacancies will be recruited through this recruitment process out of which 12000+ vacancies are for TGT Trained Graduate Teacher, 554 vacancies are for Assistant Teacher Primary, Assistant Teacher Nursery, 278 are for Junior Secretarial Assistant LDC, 50 are for Counselor Posts, 12 are for Head Clerk and 10 are for Patwari. Post Educational Qualification
TGT Hindi (i) B.A. (Honours) in one of the Modern Indian Language (MIL) concerned or B.A. with MIL concerned as one of the elective subjects from a recognized university having 45% marks in aggregate with one additional language or one school subject* at degree level. OR

 Equivalent oriental degree in MIL concerned from a recognized university having 45% marks in aggregate. OR

(For appointment as Hindi Teachers only) Sahitya Rattan of Hindi Sahitya Sammelan Prayag having secure at least 45% marks in aggregate with English in Matriculation

TGT Natural Science
  • “A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45 % marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level :

  • “A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45 % marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level :

  3. Natural / Physical Science
  4. Social Science
  • Degree/Diploma in Training Education.
  • Working knowledge of Hindi*
  • Should have qualified CTET from CBSE.
TGT Social Science
  • “A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45 % marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level : –
  1. English
  2. Mathematics
  3. Natural / Physical Science
  4. Social Science

Main subjects for will be History / Political Science/ Economics / Business Studies / Sociology/ Geography/ Psychology.

TGT Bengali

An equivalent oriental degree in MIL concerned from a recognized university having 45 % marks in aggregate. OR

  • Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme of a duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.
  • Must have passed Hindi at the Secondary Level.

Assistant Teacher Primary [DOE]
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50 % marks and 2 – years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board. OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 45 % marks and 2 – years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulations – 2002. OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50 % marks and 4 – years Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed). OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50 % marks and 2 – years Diploma in Education (special education) from a recognized Board. OR

Graduation and 2 – years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board.

  • Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • Must have passed Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English as a subject at Secondary Level.

Note : – Relaxation up to 5 % in the qualifying marks in Academic qualification) shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PH.

  • 12th Pass with 50 % Marks (5 % relaxation in case of SC/ST) from a recognized Board.
  • 2 years Diploma in primary education certificate course in ETE/JBT/DIET/B.El.Ed. from a recognized institution.
  • Must have passed Hindi as a subject in 10 class.
  • The candidate should have passed in Central Teacher Eligibility Test, to be conducted by the appropriate Govt. in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

How to crack DSSSB PGT/TGT Exam 2021 in your first Attempt?

DSSSB 2021: Important Note

For Guest/Contract teachers:- Relaxation in upper age as a one time measure up to the actual time spent as a contractual employee of the same department, subject to a  maximum of 5 years provided they have worked for at least 120 working days in that particular year.

For Teaching in University:- 05 years of age relaxation to “those who are Teaching in University” may be given which is at par with the age relaxation given to Govt. Servant for posts that are in the same line or allied cadres.

DSSSB 2021: FAQ

Q. What is the minimum qualifying marks for written examination? 

Ans. In DSSSB minimum qualifying marks for one Tier/Two Tier written examination (Objective/Descriptive Type) is as under:

  • General : 40%
  • OBC (Delhi) : 35%
  • SC/ST/PH (PwD) : 30%
  • Ex-servicemen will be given 5% relaxation in their respective categories subject to a minimum of 30%.
Q.  Is the exam Bilingual?
Ans. Yes, the Examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only.
Q. Is there a criterion for negative marking?
Ans. Yes, there is negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer.
Q. What is the Final Selection / Merit?
Ans. Tier I exam to be used for shortlisting only. Selection will be made on the basis of the final cut off list to be prepared on the basis of written examination.
Q. Is there any relaxation for For Teaching in University?
