Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released the recruitment of 12000+ teachers vacancies in Delhi government schools i.e. PRT, Nursery, TGT and Others Non-Teaching Post on its official website. As DSSSB has released teaching vacancies, many questions are arising by students regarding exam pattern, eligibility criteria, Syllabus. Here, we are going to clear some doubts of the students related to DSSSB recruitment 2022.

 

Q1. How many vacancies are there for PRT and TGT?
Ans. The Total number of vacancies for TGT is 6358 vacancies and for PRT and nursery is 554.2
Q2. When will be the online registration started for DSSSB TGT Recruitment?

Q3. How many vacancies are announced for Trained Graduate Teacher posts by DSSSB?

Ans. A total of 6258 vacancies are released for DSSSB TGT posts.

Q4. What is the age limit to apply for DSSSB Exam?
Ans. The age limit to apply for the posts under DSSSB Recruitment lies between 18 to 32 years.

Q5. Does the DSSSB application form 2022 be filled in offline/Online mode?
Ans. You can fill the application form for DSSSB 2022 exam in online mode only.

Q6. What is the exam pattern for Assistant Teacher – Nursery for DSSSB examination?

Ans. The Examination Pattern for Assistant Teacher – Nursery for DSSSB examination  has been given below :

Q7. What is the educational qualification required for teaching posts in the DSSSB recruitment process?
Ans.  According to DSSSB ONLINE Notification, the educational qualifications required for various posts has been provided below:

1 PGTs
  • Master’s Degree in the subject concerned from any recognized University.
  • Degree / Diploma in training /Education.
2 TGT 
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45 % marks in aggregate
  • Degree/Diploma in teaching
  • Knowledge of Hindi is essential.
  • Should have qualified CTET from CBSE.
3 Nursery
  • Senior Secondary School (Class Twelve) certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent with atleast 45 % marks from a recognized Board/university.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme of a duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.
  • Must have passed Hindi at the Secondary Level.

Q8. What is the application fee?

Ans. The application fee category wise has been given below :

  • For General: Rs 100/- (One Hundred only). 
  • Women candidates, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, P.W.D. & Ex-serviceman category: No Fee7. What are the Age Limit for the DSSSB Teaching post?

Q9. What is the minimum qualifying marks for the written examination?

Ans. In DSSSB minimum qualifying marks for one Tier/Two Tier written examination (Objective/Descriptive Type) is as under:
  • General : 40%
  • OBC (Delhi) : 35%
  • SC/ST/PH (PwD) : 30%
  • Ex-servicemen will be given 5% relaxation in their respective categories subject to a minimum of 30%.
Q10.  Is the exam Bilingual?
Ans. Yes, the Examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only.

Q11. Is there a criterion for negative marking?
Ans. Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer.
Q12. What is the Final Selection / Merit?
Ans. Tier I exam to be used for shortlisting only. Selection will be made on the basis of the final cut off list to be prepared on the basis of written examination.
Q13.  DSSSB has released Assistant Teacher – Primary Vacancy for DOE and MCD. Should i apply for both or one?
Ans. DSSSB has released Assistant Teacher (Primary) for DOE – 434 and MCD – 120. Candidate can apply for anyone according to whichever department he/she want to work . Candidate can select according to vacancy for their category in both vacancies.
Q14. I have done ECCE diploma. Can i apply for Assistant Teacher – Primary?
Ans. No, candidate doesn’t apply  for Assistant Teacher – Primary with ECCE Diploma. Candidate who have done ECCE Diploma from recognized institute can apply for Assistant Teacher – Nursery.
Post Eligibility Criteria
Nursery
  • Senior Secondary School (Class Twelve) certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent with atleast 45 % marks from a recognized Board/university.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme of a duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.
  • Must have passed Hindi at Secondary Level.
Q15.  I am an EWS category candidate from Bihar and have done B.ed. Can i apply for the TGT post in DSSSB Recruitment Exam?
Ans. Candidates with having an EWS Certificate with fulfilling eligibility criteria can apply for the TGT post in DSSSB Recruitment Exam.
Q16. I have done D.El.Ed from Uttar Pradesh. Can I apply for TGT Hindi?
Ans.  As per DSSSB Notification, the candidate should have done a degree/diploma in training education before applying for TGT Post. It’s also compulsory for passing CTET paper 2 for the TGT post.
Q17.  I am from Delhi but recently got married in Haryana and changed my address in Aadhar Card. Can I apply for the DSSSB Teaching Recruitment Exam?
Ans. Yes, You can apply for DSSSB Teaching recruitment Exam.
Q18. Are B.ed candidates have been eligible for Assistant Teacher – Primary?

Ans. No, The candidate who have to fulfil the following criteria can apply for Assistant Teacher – Primary

12th Pass with 50 % Marks (5 % relaxation in case of SC/ST) from a recognized Board and 2 years Diploma in primary education certificate course in ETE/JBT/DIET/B.El.Ed. from a recognized institution.

OR

Graduation and 2 – years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board. The candidate should have passed in Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

Q19. I have passed CTET Paper 1 and can I apply for TGT Maths?
Ans. As per DSSSB notification, The following criteria have to be fulfilled by candidates for applying TGT Maths :
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45 % marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level :
  1. English
  2. Mathematics
  3. Natural / Physical Science
  4. Social Science
  • Degree/Diploma in Training Education.
  • Working knowledge of Hindi*
  • Should have qualified CTET from CBSE.

Q20. I have completed my Graduation in English and have done B.Ed in english and SS. Am I Eligible for TGT Social Studies ?

Ans. As per DSSSB notification, The following criteria have to be fulfill by candidates for applying TGT Social Studies :

  • “A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45 % marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level : –
  1. English
  2. Mathematics
  3. Natural / Physical Science
  4. Social Science

Main subjects for will be History / Political Science/ Economics / Business Studies / Sociology/ Geography/ Psychology.

  • Degree/Diploma in Training Education.
  • Working knowledge of Hindi
  • Should have qualified CTET from CBSE.

Q21. After completing B.sc with Zoology and Botany and also Passed CTET Paper 1 . Can I apply for TGT Natural Science ?

Ans. No, you cant apply for TGT Natural Science. As per DSSSB notification, The following criteria have to be fulfill by candidates for applying TGT Natural Science

  • “A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45 % marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level :
  1. English
  2. Mathematics
  3. Natural / Physical Science
  4. Social Science

Note : – Main subjects for TGT (Natural Science/ Phy. Science) shall be Physics, Chemistry Biology, Botany and Zoology

  • Should have qualified CTET Paper 2 from CBSE.

Q22. Other state candidates are eligible for applying DSSSB Teaching Recruitment Exam?

Ans. Yes, They can apply for DSSSB Teaching Recruitment Exam with fulfilling education criteria.

Q23. After Completing B.El.Ed from English, can i apply for TGT Maths?

Ans. No, You cant apply for TGT Maths

Q24. I have done NTT 1 yr diploma, am i eligible for Assistant Teacher Nursery?

Ans. No , you are not eligible for Assistant Teacher Nursery Post. Candidate must have done diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme of a duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.

Q25. After completing Graduation in Science and also cleared CTET Paper 2 in Social Science. Am i eligible for applying TGT Natural Science ?

Ans. Candidate should have fulfill educational criteria  and also cleared CTET paper 2 in Science for applying in TGT Maths .
