Sol. In International system, 78921092 can be written as seventy eight million nine hundred twenty one thousand and ninety two.
S2. Ans.(d)
Sol. Given digits — 6, 2, 7, 4 and 3
Odd digits — 7 and 3 which will be used two-two times.
Even digit’s — 6, 2 and 4 which will be used one-one time.
Hence, required greatest number
= 7764332
S3. Ans.(a)
Sol. 89997 is the required number.
S4. Ans.(a)
Sol. ∵ Original number = 97580
New number = 95780
∴ Difference = (97580 – 95780) = 1800
S5. Ans.(a)
Sol. The difference between the largest four-digit number and the smallest three-digit number is 9999 – 100 = 9899.
S6. Ans.(a)
Sol. If 3 4 * 6 8 is to be divisible by 9, then the sum of all digits must be divisible by 9, i.e.,
3 + 4 + * + 6 + 8 = 21 + *. So, the value of * must be 6.
