Q2.What is the educational qualification required for different posts in CTET 2020 recruitment process?

Ans.

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates has to mandatory undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.

Q3.What is the CTET 2020 Exam pattern?

Ans. All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.

Q5. What is the structure of CTET Exam?
Ans.There will be two papers of CTET:

Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Q7. What is the time duration of each Test?
Ans. The duration of each test is 2:30 Hrs.

Q8. After qualifying the CTET, am I eligible for getting the Job?
Ans. Qualifying CTET would not confer a right on any person for Recruitment/Employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

Q9.When will be the exam conducted?
Ans. The examination will be held on 5 July 2020.

Q10.Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
Ans.The exam will be conducted in Offline mode.

Q11.What is the application Fee for CTET 2020 Exam?
Ans. A candidate belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 1000/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both the papers). The amount of Rs. 500/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both the papers) for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
