Q2. What is the educational qualification required for different posts in CTET recruitment process?

Ans. Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates has mandatory to undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.

Q3. What is the Ctet exam pattern?

Ans. All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.

Ans. CBSE has released exam dates for CTET – July 2020 Exam. Now, CTET 2020 Exam is scheduled on 5th July 2020 (Sunday). Here is the important dates for CTET July 2020 Exams:

Q5. What is the structure of CTET July 2020?

Ans. There will be two papers of CTET July 2020:

Paper I will be for a person who wants to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper II will be for a person who wants to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who wants to teach for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Ans. The duration of each test is 2:30 Hrs.

Q10.Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?

Ans. The exam will be conducted in Offline mode only.

Q11.What is the application Fee?

Ans. This year CTET made changes in examination fee structure. A candidate belonging to either General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 1000/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both the papers). The same amount is reduced to Rs. 500/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both the papers) for candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Diff. Abled person category.

Q12.Is the exam Bilingual?

Ans. Yes, the Main questions paper will be bilingual in nature.

Q13.Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?

Ans.No, there is no sectional cut-off in the exam

Q14. Is there a criterion for negative marking?

Ans.No, there is no negative marking in CTET Exam.

Q15.When will be the CTET admit card released?

Ans.Tentatively it will be released soon. The candidates may download CTET Admit Card from CTET official website @ctet.nic..in.

Q16. What are the number of attempts a candidate can avail for CTET?

Ans. Till now there is no number of attempts for appearing in CTET.

Q17. What is the validity period of CTET certificate?

Ans. The CTET validity period is 7 years from the date of result declared.

Q18. Can I appear in Paper-I or Paper-II in different cycles?

Ans. Yes, you can apply separately for both ctet exam i.e. paper I & II .

Q19. After qualifying the CTET, am I eligible for getting the Job?

Ans. Qualifying CTET would not confer a right on any person for Recruitment/Employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

Q20. What will be the mode of payment?

Ans. The mode of payment will be:

Remittance through E-Challan bydepositing the prescribed fee in CTET Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
Payment by Syndicate Bank e-Challan.
Payment by Canara Bank e-Challan.
By Online-mode (Payment by Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking).

Q21. What will be the criteria for Image and signature uploading in CTET application form?

Ans. The criteria for Online Uploading of Scanned Images and signature will be :

Uploading of scanned Photo and Signature are mandatory.
Upload scanned photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
Size of scanned photograph should be between 10 to 100 KB
Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
Size of scanned signature should be between 3 to 30 KB.
Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height)

The candidates are advised to keep the scanned images of latest photograph and signature of the candidates ready in JPG format and as per the size and dimension specified, before applying online.

Q22. How to create a password and what will be the format of password in CTET application form?

Ans. The password for the CTET application form must be :

Password must be 8 to 13 characters long.
Password must have at least one Upper case, one lower case alphabet and one numeric value and at least one special characters!@#$%^&*–
Candidate can change the passwords after login, if desired. New Password cannot be identical to any of the previous three passwords.

Ans. The difficulty level of questions in CTET July 2020 exam will be:

Paper-I: based on the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes I – V
Difficulty level : up to the Secondary stage.
Paper-II: based on the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes VI-VII
Difficulty level: up to the Senior Secondary stage.
