The lockdown is now limited only to containment zones for a month till June 30 and states are free to resume normal life outside containment zones. Coronavirus outbreak statistics are on every TV channel, social media, and newspaper. The figures in our country are unpleasant as they are rising continuously.  Almost all of the states in India have been affected with  COVID-19, and the heartening news is that the deaths toll is also increasing.

The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 213 countries and territories across the world. The total number of 7,458,921 cases have been registered till now and it may be increased day by day. The current status of total cases, active, recovered and total deaths are given below:

COVID-19 CASES IN INDIA:

The coronavirus pandemic in India touched another new peak today. The states continued to record count with over 9,996 cases in last 24 hours. With this India Covid-19 cases surged pass 2.86 lakh. At least 357 people succumbed to death in last 24 hours- the highest number of deaths in a day. India’s death due to COVID-19 virus increased 8,102.

Total Confirmed Cases – 286579

Total No. of Death – 8102

Out of which 141029 are cured and have been discharged.

It has to be noted that both state and central governments are trying hard to make people aware of the impending dangers of spreading the infection to one another. They are also publicizing that social distancing can only be the solution to prevent further spread of the virus that has already claimed so many lives across the globe.
