Agneepath Govt Scheme: The Agneepath Govt Scheme was unveiled by the Defense of Minister Rajnath Singh on 14th June 2022 to recruit personnel below the officer rank. Under the Agnipath path, 46000 soldiers will be recruited in 2022. The soldiers recruited under the Agneepath Govt Scheme will be called Agniveers. In a recent development, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has confirmed on a tweet that 10% of vacancies will be reserved in the Assam Rifles and CAPFs for the Agniveers who have completed their 4-year tenure. The Agniveers will get a relaxation of 3 years added to the prescribed upper age limit for the recruitment of Assam Riffles and CAPFs. Moreover, there will be a total of 5 years of age relaxation for the first batch of the Agniveers.  This will be a great career opportunity for the Agniveers after their successful completion of 4-year tenure in the defence.

The Agneepath Govt Scheme offers contractual services for the eligible candidates and the tenure of the service including the training period of the candidates recruited will be 4 years.
