=P(1+5/100)2
=P×441/400

2.A number when added to its two thirds is equal to 35. Find the number

Sol: Let the number be X
Then, According to the question,
X+2/3X=35
=3x+2x/3=35
=5x/3=35
=5x=35×3
=x=35×3/5=21
  
3.Rs.770 have been divided among A,B and C in such a way that A receives 2/9th of what B and C together receive. Then A’s share is Rs-

Sol: Given, A=(2÷9)(B+C)
A:B+C= 2:9

Sol: Suppose quotient=k
Then, number= 387 k+48
= (43×9k+43)+5=43(9k+1)+5

Sol: Side of the square=Perimeter/4
=48/4=12m
Area of the square=Side× Side
=12×12=144 m^2

Sol: 1 kg =1000gm
4kg= 4×1000gm
=4000gm
Hence required percentage=500×100/4000=12.5%

9.60% of that the students in a school are boys. If the number of girls in the school is 300, then the number of boys is-

Sol: Here 40% are girl in a school.
40%=300
60%=300× 60/40
=450

10.What should be taken out of 3/7 to get 2/7?

Sol: Let x be taken out.
Then  3/7-x=2/7
X=3/7-2/7
=1/7
