UPMSP Board Half Yearly Exam 2021-22 Registration Dates
UP Board has concluded the registration process for half-yearly and first-term board exams. The last date for registration was 8th November. The exams are set to start during the second week of November. Approximately 51 lakh students will be appearing for the first term board exams.
The next step for the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad is to release the center fixation policy. This will help the students to change the centers for the board exams. As compared to the last year, there has been a huge marginal fall in the number of candidates appearing for the board exams.
The last date for UP Board registration initially was during the last week of October. The date was extended until 8th November but still, there has been a lack in the number of students appearing for the first term board exams.
Now, the officials will be checking through the applications which have been submitted by the students. The students will be allowed to mend the incorrect details after the checking is complete. Once the application is filled out correctly, students will be given admit cards to appear in the first term board exams.
This year the board has decided to conduct exams in a hybrid pattern, which means that the question that appears will contain MCQ-type questions as well as subjective questions. The subjective questions will have to be written with explanations. Separate answer sheets will be provided for the same.
UP Board Half-yearly exams 2021 new pattern for Class 10 and 12
- The half-yearly exams for classes 9 and 11 students of UP Board will commence from 11th November till 15th
- The question paper will be of 100 marks of which 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical.
- Theory exams date sheet has been announced by almost all the schools of UP Board.
- Students of classes 9 and 11 will have to answer questions in an OMR sheet as well as on traditional answer scripts.
- The 70 marks question paper is now divided into two parts. Initial 20 marks will be of MCQ type and 50 marks will be of subjective type questions.

The UP Board half-yearly board exams for classes 9 to 12 is set to start from 11th November. The exams will be conducted by the schools. For the date sheet students are requested to check with the respective schools.
The students of UP Board classes 9 and 11 will have to mark answers in the OMR Sheet. Also, they need to be extra careful while marking answers in the OMR sheet as this will be their first attempt at using the OMR sheet.
In the OMR Sheet, the question numbers will be given vertically, and the options will be available horizontally. Students are to mark the options corresponding to the question number. They are to fill the option by filling the answer option with a blue or black pen.

UP Board Half Yearly Exam 2021-22: UPMSP New Exam pattern and Date
According to the new pattern set by the Uttar Pradesh Board, the question paper which is of 70 marks will now be divided into two parts. Initial 20 marks will be MCQ type questions. For marking the answers to these MCQ’s, students are to use the OMR sheet. The main motive of having the initial 20 marks as MCQ type is to make the students comfortable with the OMR marking style.
The remaining 50 marks of the question paper will consist of subjective type questions. For answering the subjective type questions, students will be provided with answer sheets. They are to answer in the same way as they have done in previous years.
The new pattern will help the students to get accustomed to the OMR sheet marking style. The first-term board exams for UP board classes 10 and 12 will be of MCQ type. Students will be using OMR sheets to answer the Multiple Choice Questions.
This year the pattern has been changed for classes 9 to 12. This is done as the board has decided to conduct the board exams in two terms. Last year, the UP board had to cancel their board exams due to the pandemic. To prevent the board exam cancellation, the two-term method has been adopted.
