Telangana 10th Exam 2020 Date: There is an important update for all the students in Telangana who were preparing for the Telangana SSC Exams 2020 to be conducted by the Telangana Board. As per the announcement made by the government of Telangana, the TS Class 10th Exams 2020 has again been postponed indefinitely in the wake of the rapidly spreading COVID-19 pandemic in the state. This decision from the government overturns the previous decision of the state government to conduct the pending Telangana SSC Exams 2020 from 8th June to 5th July 2020. Now that the exams have been postponed further, students have no other option but to wait for further announcement from the government of Telangana.
When the nationwide lockdown came into effect on 25th March 2020, the government had only managed to conduct the examinations for the first language and second language subjects, i.e. Telugu and Hindi. All the other exams had to be postponed indefinitely after the order from the Telangana High Court in March directing the state government to do so. In the meantime, parents of students studying in 10th class, as well as child rights organizations, have been calling for the cancellation of Telangana SSC Exams 2020 due to the prevailing circumstances in the state. The Government Decided To Cancel Telangana SSC Exams 2020 Across The State
This latest development comes as a surprise to many after, in a recent decision, The Telangana High Court had permitted the state government to conduct the Telangana SSC Exams 2020 across all the regions in the state, except the Ranga Reddy district and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation region, as these regions have reported the highest concentration of COVD-19 cases.
But the rapidly worsening situation in the state due to Coronavirus pandemic has prompted the government to cancel the Telangana SSC Exams 2020 again. While interacting with the media, the education minister of Telangana Sabitha Indra Reddy informed that the chief minister has called for a high-level meeting to discuss the decision of the Telangana High Court. The education minister stated that “We shall decide our strategy as to what to do in the wake of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic across the state.”
Telangana Class 10th Exams 2020: Review Meeting To Be Conducted Soon
TS Class 10th Exam 2020: In the meantime, the state government is conducting a high-level meeting to contemplate on the suggestions of the High Court, Recently, High Court of Telangana has suggested to the government that the students be graded on the basis of their performance in their internal examinations and assessment exercises conducted by the schools. TS 10th Exam 2020 Postponed the High Court also remarked that the lives of students could not be put in danger because the risk of infection spreading amongst the students is significantly higher. There have also been questions raised by the court regarding conducting the exams in areas currently designated as containment zones.
