Maharashtra SSC (10th) Result 2020: According to the latest announcement by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Wednesday, the board has decided in awarding the average marks that the student has obtained in the papers of the other subjects. This decision is with regard to the cancellation of the Class 10 Geography paper, which was scheduled to be conducted on March 23, 2020. The outbreak of Coronavirus had caused an indefinite halt to the examinations and the decision to cancel the remaining paper had to be adopted.

“Since the pending Geography paper was cancelled, the board has decided to award Maharashtra SSC Result, 2020 students, an average of marks obtained in written examination of other subjects,” a circular informed. A similar decision has been adopted for another subject in the exam for the differently-abled students. “An average of marks obtained in written, oral, practical, and internal evaluation of other subjects will be awarded for the subject,” the notice added.

With over 17 lakh students taking the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam all across the state of Maharashtra, the exam had been scheduled to be conducted between March 3 and March 30. The conduct of the exams was thoroughly invigilated by surveillance cameras and flying squads. This is the reason why the education board has taken the right step of not conducting the examination after rescheduling, and instead awarding the average marks obtained in the exams of previous subjects.

However, the board has still not confirmed the date of Maharashtra SSC 2020 result declaration.
