What is SLAT Exam?
SLAT or The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) will be held to grant admission into five-year integrated law programmes at four SIU-affiliated law schools. It will be administered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University)/SIU. It is a common entrance exam for admission to Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS) in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur.
The SLAT 2024 offers various Law courses such as BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BA LLB, and BBA LLB. SLAT exams will be administered using a computer-based testing system. The duration of the Exam is 60 minutes. The exam will have 60 multiple-choice questions from five different categories, including Legal and Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge.
The SLS shortlists individuals based on their SLAT scores. The chosen candidates must subsequently attend a Personal Interview (PI). A merit list is then created based on the SLAT, and PI results for admission to the individual Symbiosis law schools.
SLAT 2024 Exam Date
The SLAT 2024 exam dates have been released online on the official website along with the admission notification. As per the official notification, the SLAT 2024 exam will be administered on two different days. On May 5, 2024, the first phase of the SLAT 2024 exam will take place.
Then on May 11, 2024, the second phase of the SLAT 2024 exam will be held. It will be a choice for candidates to sit for one or both phases of the SLAT exam 2024. The SLAT 2024 exam will be conducted at around 76 exam centers in the country.

SLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to appear for the SLAT exam is set by the Symbiosis Law University every year. Only those students who satisfy the eligibility criteria can apply for the SLAT exam. The SLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria is given below.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed Class (10+2) from any recognized state or national exam boards.
- Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes) in their qualifying exam.
- Age Limit: There is no any age limit applicable for this exam
SLAT 2024 Application Process

SLAT 2024 Exam Pattern
The SLAT 2024 exam will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test) at different exam centers across India. SLAT 2024 Seat Matrix
The SLAT 2024 exam will help students get admission to the LLB courses at the constituent colleges of the Symbiosis International University. SLAT 2024 WAT and PI
After achieving the required cut-off in the SLAT 2024 exam, candidates will have to appear for the further admission processes. The next rounds are WAT (Writing Ability Test) and PI (Personal Interaction) or Studio Test and Personal Interaction (ST-PI). The SLAT 2024 law schools that are taking part in the admission process will hold separate PI/WAT or ST-PI rounds.
Candidates who are applying to multiple law schools need to make sure they show up for each law school’s PI/WAT or ST-PI rounds. In the SLAT selection procedure, the combined weight of the PI/WAT or ST-PI round is 30%. While the writing skill of the candidates is tested in the WAT round, their personalities and interests will be evaluated in the PI round. Candidates will have to attend all the rounds (PI/WAT/ST-PI) to become eligible for the merit list.
SLAT 2024 Selection Process
The entrance exam is only one constituent of the selection process, the other component being the WAT (writing ability test)/PI (personal Interaction) or Studio Test and Personal Interaction (ST-PI). The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of SLAT exam and Personal Interaction (PI) score. The SLAT entrance exam has the highest weightage in the selection process which is 70% (70 marks). The weightage of PI is 30%. The SLAT entrance marks of 60 will be scaled to 70 marks to create the merit list.
