The tests would not be postponed under any circumstances, the board stated, even if an exam day falls on a public holiday.
Many state and central education boards, notably the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), have decided to use a two-term final test for students taking the 2021-22 board exam.
Board Exams 2021-22: Students Move Supreme Court for a hybrid option for exams
Some students have petitioned the Supreme Court to have the CBSE and the CISCE issue a revised circular for administering the board exam. The petitioners ask that the authorities issue a revised circular for the next class 10 and 12 board exams, which will be held in hybrid mode rather than offline mode. It’s because the exam is being held solely to combat the COVID-19 outbreak.
Six students who would be taking the board exams filed the lawsuit, alleging that the boards’ entire practise of conducting term one or semester one examinations in offline mode only is patently unreasonable and that they should instead be conducted in hybrid mode, with the option of choosing between offline and online examinations.
The plea was submitted by counsel Sumanth Nookala.

FAQs on GBSHSE Goa Board Term 1 Exam Time table and date sheet 2021-22
What is the name of the Goa governing body?
The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE), sometimes known as the Goa board, is the authority in charge of organising exams for students in grades 10 (SSC) and 12 (HSSC) in Goa.
Is the Goa board’s syllabus getting shorter?
The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination (GBSHSE) will release the HSSC Syllabus 2022 in pdf format. Due to the lockdown scenario, the Goa Board syllabus for 12th 2021 is scheduled to be lowered for the academic year 2021.
Is it possible for me to switch from the CBSE to the ICSE system?
The CBSE and ICSE are fairly stringent when it comes to accepting students in classes X and XII. The ICSE board does not accept students from other boards in Class X and XII. In reality, a student must have finished his Class IX or XI studies under the ICSE board in order to enrol in the ICSE board’s Class X or XII.
Which is preferable: ICSE or CBSE?
The CBSE curriculum places a greater emphasis on theoretical ideas, whereas the ICSE curriculum places a greater emphasis on practical knowledge. Science and mathematics are the focus of the CBSE curriculum, whereas art, language, science, mathematics, and even humanities are the focus of the ICSE curriculum.
What are the ICSE board’s disadvantages?
An ordinary student might consider the syllabus is challenging because an ICSE board student in sixth grade will have to provide thirteen courses/examinations, but a CBSE board student in the same grade will have to provide six topics.
