PMSSS 2022-23

Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the scholarship scheme to assist students from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in pursuing undergraduate education and diploma holders in engineering from the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for the academic year 2022-23. Students will get varying amounts of scholarships on their academic expenses as well as their dorm fees under the scholarship scheme.

Online registration for academic session 2022-23 under PMSSS is open with effect from August 29, 2022, to September 5, 2022, for lateral entry admission (second year). The lateral entry admission will be based on vacant seats available during the academic year 2021-22 in the engineering stream only,” AICTE’s official notification said.

In the case of academic costs, students will receive financial assistance of up to Rs 1.25 lakh per year. Students would also receive a maintenance stipend of Rs 1 lakh each year in ten equal installments to cover expenses like accommodation, mess, books, stationery, and so on. AICTE had earlier in July solicited applications for PMSSS courses such as general degree, professional and medical, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent.
