Maharashtra Online Education: State Govt Launches 3 Jio TV channels and a Radio Program For 10th, 12th Students

Maharashtra Online Education: There is an extremely important update for all the class 10th and 12th students in Maharashtra who are struggling with their educational efforts due to the absence of adequate e-learning resources. In order to supplement the efforts of the students, the state government of Maharashtra has introduced three online channels on Jio TV and one audio programme on Jio Saavn on 5th July 2020. These programs have been developed for class 10th students (Marathi and English) and class 12th students (science). The decision to partner with private players has been taken by the state government after its request for a TV channel of its own got stuck with the centre. The announcement was shared with the media and people by the state education minister Ms. Varsha Gaikwad.

Maharashtra Online Education: Details About The Programmes

The program series is known as Gyanganga and is exclusively dedicated to class 12th science students and class 10th Marathi and English students. As per the information shared by the education minister, the radio channel will also be known as “Aamhi Ingraji Shikto” which translates into “We Learn English.” The radio channel will air new content every day for 6 hours and for the rest of the 18 hours, there will be a rebroadcast of the same content. The radio channel will also air a wide range of audiobooks for students in classes 8th to 10th. The detailed schedule for the radio programmes is available on the website of the state education department @ www.maa.ac.in. Individuals who are using Jio sim cards will receive ebook links through Jio Chat for different classes and different language mediums. The state government has also asked other mobile networks like Vodafone and Airtel to re-telecast the educational programmes on their platforms through TV apps.

Maharashtra Online Education: Jio TV & More Channels In The Pipeline

The education minister also shared with the media that the state government is planning to launch nine more channels in the coming days. The radio channel will be called Mahavani and the TV channels will be called Gyanvani. This initiative from the state government will cover more than 4.3 crore subscribers of the Jio network.
