MP 10th Results 2020: CM Makes The Announcement
The promotion of the students of 10th class to 11th class and announcement of the results and merit list will be done on the basis of the marks obtained by the student in previous exam papers alone, according to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
“The government has decided not to conduct the remaining exams for Class 10 of MPBSE. Merit list of Class 10 will be announced based on the exams held. The students will be promoted to the next class with the remark ‘pass’ in the class 10 mark sheet for the cancelled subjects.” said the Chief Minister.
MP 10th Results 2020: Decision To Cancel Exams At The Behest Of Teachers
This decision is following the request that the teachers of the MP Board had put forward to the MPBSE and the chief minister to call off the remaining state board exams in view of the difficulties the students from remote areas might have to face to attend the examinations.
This decision is totally replacing the earlier decision to conduct the 10th class exams for the papers, First Language Special – Hindi, English, Sanskrit, or Urdu, and Second and Third Language (General) – Hindi.
The Madhya Pradesh Board had begun its examination early in the month of March but however, had to postpone the exams of 10th and 12th classes on March 20th due to the unprecedented outbreak of the Coronavirus and lockdown that ensued. Statistics suggest that as many as 19 lakh students had registered for the board examinations in 2020. The state had also cancelled state level exams for the classes 5 and 8 following the lockdown earlier itself, considering the safety of the students. There has also been a pause on the evaluation of exam papers of MP Board Exams 2020.
