The State CET (Common Entrance Test) cell, Maharashtra has released the official MHCET law 2023 notification for MHCET Law Exam Date 2023 for the academic year 2023-24. The Maharashtra CET LLB (5-year programme) will be held on April 1, 2023, while the MH CET LLB (3-year programme) will be held on May 2, 2023, and May 3, 2023, in online mode, respectively, according to the official MHCET law 2023 notification posted on the website.

State CET Cell, Maharashtra administers the MHCET Law 2023, also known as the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law, once a year. The MHCET Law 2023 Exam is held to admit students to the 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes given by 147 participating colleges around the state of Maharashtra.
A combined 150 objective-type questions are included in both exams. Questions on general knowledge, legal aptitude, logical thinking, and English will be included in the MHCET Law 2023 exam.
Candidates will be able to apply for admission to one of the 10, 920 seats available in the 5-year LLB programme at one of the 147 universities, or one of the 16, 420 seats available in the 3-year LLB programme.

Candidates must fulfil the requirements for the law programmes set forth by the Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra in order to be eligible to appear in the MHCET law 2023. The eligibility criteria for the MHCET law 2023 3-year LLB and MH CET 5-year LLB.
5-year LLB Entrance Exam 2023: According to the official notification, those who are eligible to seek admission into MH CET LLB must have passed Class 12th or any equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognised university or institution. A minimum of 40% is necessary for the reserved categories.
3-year LLB Entrance Exam 2023: For the three-year LLB programme, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserve category candidates) from a recognised university.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) will soon issue the MHCET law 2023 application form for the 5-year LLB programme and the 3-year LLB programme. MHCET Law 2023 application is done online. The application procedure for 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes for MHCET Law 2023 is planned to begin in the third week of January 2023.

The MHCET Law 2023 Exam will be administered online (CBT) in both English and Marathi language. The MHCET Law 2023 test will consist of 150 objective-type questions, each worth one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong responses. The examination will last two hours. There will be five sections to the paper.
