Kendriya Vidyalayas News: There has been an important announcement from the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan pertaining to the class 8th students in the Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. As per the announcement by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Kendriya Vidyalayas will be introducing Artificial Intelligence courses for the class 8th students from the upcoming academic year 2020-21. Moreover, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has notified all Kendriya Vidyalayas to enroll with the Central Board of Secondary Education to introduce the Artificial Intelligence courses. The last date for registration has been specified as 30th June 2020.
A letter has been issued by Indu Kaushik, Additional Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan which reads as, “Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has decided to introduce artificial intelligence, skill courses in Class 8 from session 2020-21. You are, therefore, requested to instruct the principle of all Kendriya Vidyalaya to enroll their Vidyalaya with CBSE before June 30 for introducing artificial intelligence in Class 8.” Check >> HPBOSE 12th Results 2020
Detailed Guidelines Issued By The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan
As per the directions issued by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to the affiliated schools, the school management has been directed to make a 12-hour provision in their timetables for the Artificial Intelligence course. As per the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, schools need not pay any additional fees to the CBSE for registration and affiliation for the Artificial Intelligence course. The course will be taught by Kendriya Vidyalayas in collaboration with the CBSE and Intel, the global IT giant.
Training Will Be Provided To The Teachers
Directions have been issued to all Kendriya Vidyalayas to send a list of teachers from the school who will be conducting the classes for the Artificial Intelligence course once the school’s registration with CBSE is complete. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan specified that the training will be provided to the teachers in various phases in consultation with the representatives from CBSE and Intel.
The statement from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan reads that “Initially 100 Kendriya Vidyalayas were chosen for introducing Artificial Intelligence and 02 teachers from each Kendriya Vidyalaya were trained at Zonal Institute of Education and Training (ZIETs) along with training associates under the guidance and supervision of Director ZIETs.”
