As per a statement made by the state education minister Mr. S Suresh Kumar, the Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 will now be conducted as soon as possible. He elaborated that guidelines have been issued to the concerned officials to start preparing for the exam right away.
The results for the PUC exam are expected to be released on 5th May 2020, while the second PUC results are likely to be released pretty soon. Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020: Multiple delays due to Coronavirus
The Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 was originally scheduled to be conducted from 27th March 2020 to 9th April 2020. But as the nationwide lockdown was announced by the Prime Minister, the examination dates were postponed till 20th April 2020. Then due to the announcement of Lockdown 2.0, the dates for Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 have been further postponed, and till now, no firm dates have been declared for the candidates.
A previous statement issued by Mr. S Suresh Kumar read that, “Board exams for the secondary school leaving certificate (SSLC) and the pre-university course (PUC) have been postponed to May from April, as the lockdown and restrictions on the movement of people are likely to continue till this month-end to contain the coronavirus spread.”
Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020: Guidelines Issued By The Ministry
As the number of Coronavirus cases in the state is increasing steadily, some guidelines have been issued by the education ministry to the concerned officers. These guidelines have been conveyed to the Deputy Directors of the different education departments in the state.
The guidelines issued by the minister state that, “Sanitisers, masks, screening, and all guidelines will be followed at exam halls.” Similar guidelines have been issued by a University in Hong Kong while conducting its entrance exams.
As the number of Coronavirus positive cases in the state has breached the mark of 650, it is important for the education department to enforce strict guidelines while conducting the Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020. More than 8 lakh students have registered for the exam and therefore taking precautions is extremely important.
As the exact dates are yet to be advised by the education ministry, candidates who will be appearing for the Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 are advised to keep their preparations on track, so that their performance in the exam does not get affected by this ongoing uncertainty.
