Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country the CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION along with the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced JEE exam will be postponed for indefinite period.
The revised dates and schedule will be announced after having a thorough examination of the COVID-19 situation in India. Students will be informed at least 15 days prior to the examination .
JEE Mains exam was scheduled to be held from April 27 to April 30th while the initial sessions had already been completed in early February and March. NTA and other examination boards were concerned about the sudden increase in COVID-19 cases in the country. India has recorded over 1.5 lakh new COVID-19 cases a day so NTA has come up with a decision of postponing the examination while taking into account students’ welfare and wellbeing. JEE is one of the most popular engineering entrance exams in India around 2 lakh students appear for the exams to get admission into premiere institutes like IIT, NIT, IIIT and other institutes. Students and parents across the country have welcomed the decision from NTA which has cleared the doubt clouds surrounding the future of students.
